Panch Badri Yatra is the pilgrimage undertaken by devotes in order to take the blessings of different forms taken by Lord Vishnu. It is revered as the collection of five holy shrines that belongs to Lord Vishnu. It is named after the five abode of Lord Vishnu that is positioned in the Dev bhoomi of Uttarakhand State. Devotees called them Badri showing their love towards the Lord. The holy abode of Lord Vishnu experience the footfall of thousands of pilgrims, every year, who pace up to attain peace of mind.
Nestled at different locations between the altitude levels of 1380mtrs and 3133mtrs, the five temples of Lord Vishnu are dedicated to the Panch Badri’s. The five badri are Vishal Badri, Adi Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Vridha Badri and Yogdhyan Badri. All the badri are placed in the Alaknanda River Valley of the Gharwal Himalayas and become the highly revered source of doing worship and meditation for the pilgrims.

Day 1: Panch Badri Yatra with Panchprayag Package from Haridwar

Panch Badri is the holy shrine where in Lord Vishnu is preached in several forms. Here, the Lord Vishnu is worshipped at different places and by different names. It is believed that Lord Vishnu had settled here for some time. Devotees believe in taking the parikramaa of this bundle of holy shrines in order to attaiin salvation from their sins and to attain peace of mind and soul. Pick up Dinner from Airport / Railway Station, later proceed to Hotel, and check-in to the hotel upon arrival.Then proceed for Haridwar local sight seeing. attend Gaanga aarti at Har kiPauri. You can also visit Mansa Devi Temple. Dinner and Overnighht stay in Haridwar.
HaridwarBeing a place of intense religious significance, Haridwar also hosts several religious festivals throughout the year; popular among them are the Kavad Mela, Somvati Amavasya Mela, Ganga Dashara, GughalMela,in which around 20-25 lacs (2-2.5 million) people take part. Apart from these, there is the mammoth Kumbh Mela which takes place once in every twelve years, when thhe planet Jupiter (Brihaspati) comes into the sign Aquarius (Kumbha).
Haridwar WeatherThe temperature during the summer months ranges from 15 C – 42 C, while in the winter months the temperature varies within 6 C 16.6 C. Monsoon rains occurs mainly during the summer time.

Day 2: Haridwar-Rudraprayag – Vishnuprayag – Govindghat(270 km//9-10 hrs approx).

After breakfast, proceed to Govind Ghat, on the way visit Karan Prayag, Nand Prayaag, Vishnuprayagsangam. Later continue to Govindghat. On arrival checkk-in at hotel.

Enroute Visit Devprayag, Rudraprayagg,NandPrayag, Karan Prayag.
Nandprayag:Nandprayag lies in Chamoli district on Joshimath-Badrinath road, 21.3Km from Karnaprayag and 10.5Km from Chamoli. Situated 914 meters above sea level, Nandprayag is believed to be the capital city of Yadu Kingdom in Dwapar Yuga. The legend says, King Nand had meditated at the confluence on a stone to lord Vishnu at this place. Lord Vishnu answered to his prayer and accepted to be his son but the same blessings was received by Devki, the sister of cruel King Kansa. To manage this situation, lord Vishnu took birth from Devki and was brought up by Nand-Yasoda. The stone in which King Nand meditated is used as the foundation of Nandprayag temple. The place derivves the name from King Nand who meditated at the confluence of Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers. Hindu devotees take a dip at the sacred confluence Nandprayag before entering Nandprayag temple to perform pooja (worship). The mesmerizing beauty of two sister rivers meeting at the confluence will remain in your mind all your life. One fierce sister meeting another placid sister and both calming down to flow together offers an enchanting view.
Karanaprayag:Karnaprayag, third or the middle one of the PanchPrayag in Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand India lies in Chamoli district and sits 788 meters above sea level. Karnaprayag is the confluence of Alakhananda and Pindar river and also the municipal board of Chamoli district that connects Garhwal region with Kumaun region. Karnaprayag gets its name from Karna, the son of Suryadev (Sun God) and Kunti (mother of Pandavas, the heroes of Hindu holy epic Mahabharata). It is believed that te confluence of Alakhananda and Pindar river was the spot where Karna meditated to satisfy the Sun God and was finally blessed with the impregnable shield called Kavach and Kundal (armour and ear rings).

Day 3: Govindghat—YogDhyan Badri–Badrinath Jee – Govindghat (23 km/1 hrs approx).

Morning after breakfast, proceed for Badrinath darshan. Pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkundhave the Darshan of Badrivishal&Aarti in evening. Brahamakapal is significant for PinddanShraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There is other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee.Dinner&Overnight stay at Hotel.
Badrinath one of the ‘Ancient Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3300 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus, the place got the name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”.
Tapt Kund:Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bath before entering the Badrinath temple.
Mana Village:Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
Vasundhara:As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent water fall. This place is 5 kms. from Badrinath out of which 2 Kms. is motor-ableupto Mana village.
BhimPulOn the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
YogdhyanBadri:Located at an altitude of 1920mtrs at Pandukeshwar, the temple holds an immense importance in the history of Panch Badri. The temple is named after King Pandu, after they made the victory over Kauravas and hailed towards the journey to attain salvation for feeling guilty of committing the deeds. The temple holds the idol of the Lord in the meditative posture

Day 4: Govindghat –Vishnu Prayag-Saldhar – Bhavishya Badri – Joshimath (12 km drive & 06 km trek-one side).

After breakfast, proceed to Syaldhar. Enroute visit Vishnu Prayag latter Reach Syaldhar and start trek to Bhavishya Badri. On arrivalatBhavishya Badri, visit the Narsingh temple and Shankracharya temple, later back to Joshimath. Overnight stay at hotel.
BhavishyaBadri:Located at an altitude of 2744mts above sea level, this Bhavishya Badri or future Badri can be reached via crossing thick forests that surrounds Tapovan. Here the image of God Narsingh, the lion headed incarnation of Lord Vishnu is enshrined. Pilgrims undertake the trek of 6km via TapovanDhauliganga to reach the temple of Bhavishya Badri.

Day 5: Joshimath – Virdha Badri – Adi Badri – Rudraprayag (92 Km/4-5 hrs approx).

After breakfast, proceed to Virdha Badri & Adibadri via Karanpryag. On arrival check-in at hotel. Over night stay at hotel in Rudraprayag.
Vridha Badri:Located at an altitude of 1380mtrs, this temple was located at Animath. Being the first holy place of Badrinath, it receives great acknowledgement for holding the idol of Badrinath before the beginning of the Kali age. Lord Vishnu removes himself from the temple when the mankind entered the Kali age period. The temple remains open throughout the years.
Adi Badri:Adi Badri, one among the Panch Badri pilgrimages in Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand state of India is a group of 16 temples with the mainNarayan temple dedicated to lord Vishnu situated 17Km fromKarnaprayag in Uttarkashi district. As the name suggests, Adi or Aadi Badri is the ancient abode of lord Vishnu who is called with the name ‘Badri’ in Badrikshetra – Uttarakhand state. It is believed that lord Vishnu resided in Adi Badri during Satya, Treta and Dwapar Yugas (eras) and shifted to Badrinath in Kali Yuga. Prophecy says, lord Vishnu will shift his abode to Bhavishya Badri in Satya Yuga after completion of the running era– Kali Yuga.

Day 6: Rudraprayag Dev Prayag—Haridwar/Dehradun (160Kms/5 Hrs) Height: 315 MTS.

Morning after breakfast, check-out from the hotel for Haridwar. En-route visit Dhari Devi Temple, Dev Prayag, &Rishikesh local sightseeing like ram jhula, laxmanjhula, ParmarthNicketan, Triveni Sangan. On arrival, Drop at Haridwar Rly Station/Delhi Airport.
Rishikesh: Named after the Lord Vishnu, Rishikesh is a holy city for Hindus. Located in the foothills of the Himalaya in northern India it is also known as the yoga center of the world and is home to many world renowned ashrams. Rishikesh styles itself as the ‘Yoga Capital of the World’, with masses of ashrams and all kinds of yoga and meditation classes. The fast-flowing Ganges is surrounded by forested hills inside the city. Apart from temples and ashrams Rishikesh is now a popular for white-water rafting.
